Amy Lee McArdle

Born in New York and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Amy Lee McArdle grew up between worlds. Her education at international schools and frequent travels with her family ignited a fascination with diverse cultures and shaped her sophisticated eye for beauty and detail. Even as a child, she imagined herself an architect and interior designer—a dream that, though temporarily set aside, never faded.

Before returning to that calling, Amy earned a BA in Political Science from Wellesley College and an MA in East Asian Studies from Harvard University. She went on to work in the political arena, serving with the United Nations and on Capitol Hill. But the pull of design proved irresistible.

Her next chapter began at White Webb, the award-winning New York City firm led by AD100 designer Matthew White and modernist Frank Webb. Immersed in their mentorship, Amy refined her aesthetic sensibility and deepened her mastery of the craft. In 2014, she struck out on her own, founding Amy Young Designs. Today, her portfolio spans Manhattan pied-à-terres, Palm Beach escapes, and sprawling suburban estates. Renowned for her tailored, sophisticated style, Amy has become a trusted name among elite athletes, luxury brands, CEOs, and discerning private clients.
